About the Event
Ciara White-Sparks was crowned Miss Omega Psi Phi 2020- 2021 on Sunday, November 22, 2020. With
over 12 years of experience in pageantry, this Las Vegas native hones two state titles and won her first
national competition in 2017. Studying Broadcast Journalism and Communications with a concentration in
Marketing at Hampton University, Ciara aspires to have a career in entertainment news. Ciara is heavily involved at HU serving on multiple executive boards with organizations like the National
Association of Black Journalists, The Script Newspaper, and an ambassador for Victoria's Secret’s PINK
Outside of Ciara’s extensive extra-curricular, she is a beauty blogger, podcast host, and
currently is the face of her own virtual talk show. This beauty queen wears her crown high after a diagnosis of depression and anxiety from being severely Cyberbullied in high school. This compelled Miss White-Sparks to develop a social initiative entitled:
Fearfully, Beautifully, and Wonderfully Made: The Movement. Ciara uses her Miss Omega Psi Phi banner
to empower young girls between the ages of 13-18 with confidence-building workshops in her hometown.
She hopes to extend this program with like-minded organizations across the country.
A survivor, role model, and agent of change, Ciara White-Sparks is a pillar in her community with experience
in numerous volunteer initiatives that support mental health and women-empowerment. She tackles relevant
issues and creates implementations in spaces that need it the most by creating an inclusive and diverse
environment for everyone.
