For the past 8 years The Formation Conference has gathered Black Girls from across the diaspora to learn from each other, pay homage and celebrate Black Girlhood. Since 2016 over 800 participants have joined us for this life changing experience. We have seen our sisterhood grow and expand, adding new members to our TRIBE and Village with every historic gathering...

This summer, from June 26-30, 2024, we are thrilled to announce the return of The Formation Conference to the historic campus of Howard University. Under the resonant theme "A Seat at the Table," this year's conference aims to create an empowering and transformative experience, focusing on amplifying the voices and aspirations of Black Girls. The experience emphasizes the vital importance of claiming a place at the table of their destiny.

In a world where representation matters, The Formation Conference 2024 is dedicated to inspiring, educating, and uplifting Black Girls. We strive to provide them with the tools and confidence needed to navigate their unique paths. Recognizing the power of unity, the conference is a celebration of diversity, resilience, and the myriad talents that contribute to the rich tapestry of Black Girlhood.

Leveraging the expertise, the conference will feature dynamic speakers, interactive workshops, and thought-provoking discussions aligned with the mission of The Black Girl TRIBE, contributing to the betterment of Black Girls.

The Formation Conference 2024 invites all Black Girls ages 12-18 to seize this opportunity to connect, learn, and grow. Applications open on January 19, 2024, providing a window for aspiring attendees to secure their spot until the deadline on March 31. The conference promises an immersive, one-of-a-kind experience that combines inspiration with practical insights, equipping attendees with the tools to not only survive Black Girlhood but to thrive in it.
