WHAT DOES TRIBE DO?

 

1) Teaching our Girls the value of self love, worth and that it is possible to live whole and healthy lives through our plethora of programs and experiences.

 

2) Reaching out to the greater Village to cultivate and encourage championship for Black Girls; creating advocates by educating and collecting resources for solutions to issues that directly and uniquely affect our Girls 

 

3) Inspiring our tribe to celebrate their magic and potential everyday via our personal and social networks, campaigns, unique events and exposure to Black Girls making history past, present and future. 

 

4) Building sisterhood through mentorship and sustainable engagement with our tribe. Building a network of empowered Girls inspired by each other and the spirit of reciprocity. Building a better world for our Girls to be their best. 

 

 5) Empowering our Girls at every intersection of their lives, from the classroom, bathroom to the boardroom. Providing technical assistance and training to organizations, schools, and institutions in regards to the quaitative treatment and security of Black girls. Making sure that their voices aren’t drowned out by adultification, over policing, sexualization and racism. Empowered Girls Become Empowering Women.

The Black Girl Tribe offers innovative and transformative programming designed to empower, inspire, and support Black girls as they grow into confident, capable leaders:

  • Queens Reaching Queens Mentoring Program: This signature initiative connects Black girls with accomplished Black women professionals who serve as mentors, fostering intergenerational wisdom, positive youth development, and community building.
     

  • Formation Conference: A week-long annual leadership summit hosted at Howard University that has served over 1,500 Black girls. Participants engage in dynamic workshops, panel discussions, and cultural experiences focused on leadership, self-discovery, and joy.
     

  • Exposure Excursions: Carefully curated trips that introduce Black girls to new environments and experiences. These excursions are designed to engage all five senses\u2014what participants taste, hear, smell, touch, and learn, creating meaningful core memories that broaden their perspectives.
     

  • Culturally Relevant Learning Labs: Interactive sessions that center on critical themes such as self-care, mental health, STEM education, and social justice, equipping participants with essential life skills for success.
     

Through these impactful programs, Tribe fosters a powerful sense of community, leadership development, and self-empowerment for Black Girls, enabling them to thrive and lead with brilliance.
