Your Academic Experience at TRIBE U: At TRIBE U, every student chooses a major and minor and then designs a schedule that reflects who she is and what she’s curious about. In the coming weeks you will receive a scheme and class catalog. Participants may also register to take ONLINE CLASSES (pre con sessions)  that can satisfy credit requirements for Graduation (in-person).

 

Graduation Requirements: (In-Person)
Each student must complete 6 total classes during the conference:

  • 2 classes in her declared major

  • 1 class in each of the other 4 majors

 

REGISTRATION WILL OPEN MAY 15TH 2026

Midterm Exams will be held on Wednesday July 1, 2026

Final Exams will be held on Friday July 3, 2026​

MAJOR:  Impact & Leadership

Who this is for: The organizers, founders, captains, big-vision girls

Core question: How do I lead people with integrity and power?

 

Focus areas:

  • Black Girl leadership & ethics

  • Community organizing

  • Nonprofit + social impact

  • Public speaking & confidence

 

Capstone Energy: “How do I move a room?”

MAJOR:  Future Innovation

Who this is for: The builders, coders, thinkers, inventors

Core question: How do I shape what comes next?

Focus areas:

  • STEAM + emerging tech

  • AI literacy (not coding heavy, concept heavy)

  • Environmental futures

  • Problem-solving & design thinking

 

 

Capstone Energy: “What future am I designing?”

MAJOR: Creativity & Expression

Who this is for: The artists, writers, dancers, storytellers

Core question: How do I tell my story and honor my voice?

  • Dance, music, theater

  • Writing & storytelling

  • Media, branding, journalism

  • Creative confidence

 

Capstone Energy: “My voice matters and I know how to use it.”

MAJOR: Global Village Studies

Who this is for: The curious, justice-minded, globally aware girls

Core question: How am I connected to the world?

Focus areas:

  • Black history & diaspora

  • Cultural studies

  • Global citizenship

  • Social justice & policy basics

MAJOR: Wellness, Identity & Human Development 

Who this is for: The healers, empaths, introspective girls— everyone

Core question: How do I take care of myself while becoming who I’m meant to be?

Focus areas:

  • Mental health & emotional intelligence

  • Identity, self-esteem & boundaries

  • Body awareness (not weight, not aesthetics)

  • Stress management & rest

  • Healthy relationships
